Currently, Michelle is working on a new online design start up – Betty, named after her deceased mother. She is also finishing writing her first book, which she hopes is the first of many. She is a sought-after speaker on design, business, and social media.

In addition, Michelle enjoys traveling, real estate hunting, beaching, working out, reading, attending FSU Seminole and Tampa Bay Buccaneer football games, and most of all just hanging out with her husband, three children, and Australian labradoodle Tagg (you will find him at the office most days).  She is an active member of Calvary Church.  And….she may or may not be a chocoholic.  Or as she likes to call it, a “chocolate connoisseur.”

“A group of ultra talented design creatives that craft custom, professionally
designed, and simply amazing interiors.”

our team members

Tom Wiebe

CEO/Business Strategist

Tom joined Studio M in 2007 after spending nearly a decade overseeing various areas of a global Fortune 500 investment firm.

Though Tom’s day to day responsibilities have changed from wearing ties and watching sales eclipse $200 million a day, his abilities and expertise are a great complement to the firm’s business model and commitment to excellence. While he is not an interior designer he uses his business, financial, and motivational talents to lead the entire team of StudioM.

Years of corporate life have taught me the importance of fielding a team on which clients can depend, every time. At the end of the day, we must supersede our clients’ expectations.

Tom enjoys golf, coaching soccer, interior design shows, cooking and his new dress code.

Kenna Miller

Accountaholic

Kenna is a born and raised Florida native and loves the Tampa Bay Area. After working in the insurance industry for 20 years, she decided to take a leap of faith and join the family business. (Kenna is Michelle and Tom’s sister in love).

Managing four different brokers’ books of business at the same time for several years, while also traveling the nation to train other employees on the company’s policy and procedures, have taught her the skills of great organization, time management, and importance of building trusting relationships. This has supported her in managing the procurement role at Studio M. Plus being surrounded by such a talented and creative team of designers has been super fun to watch and a welcomed change.

On evenings and weekends, you can find Kenna enjoying family walks with her high school sweetheart husband Eric and daughter Kinley, relaxing on the beach, and riding her bike while toting her dog, Derby Belle on the back. Her real love language includes going up north for some beautiful mountain views and listening to the rain with a BIG cup of coffee.

Jenna Schaffer

Purchasing/Office Manager

Jenna is a Florida native born and raised in Melbourne, FL. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology as well as her Master’s in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology, with a small educational stint at Florida State University. While at FIT Jenna participated in years of research concurrently accumulating journal and poster publications under her name. In addition to academic excellence, Jenna was a collegiate athlete playing volleyball in her institutions’ D2 conference. In her senior season she was a captain and recipient of the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year award.

Following her educational development, Jenna started her professional career in procurement within the engineering sector specializing in sourcing parts for government contracted projects. Wanting to relocate to a larger city she landed in Tampa pursuing a more creative outlet in procurement with Studio M. Her experience has brought her skills in many areas including contract development and negotiation, vendor sourcing and interpersonal relations, and project timeline and financial management.

In her spare time, Jenna is typically at the gym picking up heavy things and putting them down. When not weightlifting, she is likely planning her next getaway, reading, crafting a new DIY project, or snacking on some type of cheese.

Shauna Freeman

Studio Director

rShauna was born overseas in Bahrain and has family in both England and Ireland. After moving to Florida, Shauna got her degree in interior design from Florida State University where she was awarded the Silver Medal Award in hospitality design.
She has over 10 years of design experience working in residential, senior living, high-end luxury interiors, and new construction. Her professional experience encompasses several phases of project management, interior design, procurement, and construction administration. Shauna’s unique upbringing and exposure to different cultures has contributed to the development of her own eclectic style which she uses to bring her clients a truly new design perspective. By working closely with clients, she is able to design spaces that are both spectacular and functional. Shauna is passionate about bringing a personalized design service that reflects individual personality and lifestyle. Her fun and witty personality enhances the design experience for everyone involved.

In addition to keeping up with the newest design trends, Shauna enjoys traveling, horse riding, and music. Fun fact, she used to be in a chorus and barbershop quartet who traveled across the States and to Europe performing! If ever lost you’ll probably find her spinning at CYCLEBAR South Tampa.

Meredith Hill

Senior Designer

Meredith, a true Floridian through and through, was born in Vero Beach and grew up in Tallahassee. She attended Florida State University where she earned her degree in Interior Design. While at FSU, Meredith also participated in the Study Abroad program in Florence, Italy which instilled in her an insatiable desire to travel, explore different cultures, and see the world. She also completed an internship with Carleton V. Ltd in New York City where she got a true taste of the designer textile industry.

Upon graduation, Meredith moved to Tampa to start her career with Studio M. In the past 10 years, her professional experience has since grown to include project management, interior design, procurement, and construction administration. She has also gained extensive experience in different facets of design, including luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, and healthcare. Meredith is also a licensed Interior Designer, NCIDQ Certified, and certified as a LEED Green Associate.

Over her career, Meredith has developed a passion for designing beautiful, unique, and livable spaces that truly fit a client’s way of life. She loves to create that personal connection with her clients to assure that they are inspired every step of the way.

In her free time, Meredith loves to travel, practice yoga, cheer on the Noles and spend time with her precious pup, Millie. And she is always up for a good glass of wine and charcuterie board (it really should be its own food group!).

Shawna Boyd

Senior Designer

Shawna’s experience in design includes luxury residences, retail and commercial interiors; but her passion is for people. Delivering individuals a space that expresses their personality, supports their lifestyle, and exceeds their expectations is what she wakes up for every morning.

Shawna attended Florida State University’s Interior Design program, where she met her husband and spent a semester studying in Florence, Italy. After graduating, she returned to South Florida to begin her career, but a great opportunity and the eclectic culture drew her to Tampa in 2016. She could not be more proud to now call Tampa home.

You can catch Shawna on the local cable channel as a commissioner for the City of Tampa Architectural Review. She also sits on the board of the IIDA Florida Central Chapter and spends her down time practicing yoga, watching sports, and catching up with friends over a glass of wine.

Alyssa Queen

Designer

Alyssa was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University. During her time there she was awarded Outstanding Second Year and Outstanding Fourth Year Studio Student, and served on the Student Advisory Board. After a successful summer internship, she was thrilled to return to Studio M after her graduation and be back in the Tampa Bay area. Her passion for design stems from the balance she seeks in all parts of her life. Design requires a perfect blend of creativity and critical thinking. Designers are problem solvers and artists all wrapped up in one. The power that design has to make an impact on people’s daily lives is what drives her. She aspires to translate her client’s dreams into interiors that fit their personality and lifestyle.

Alyssa’s loves in life include coffee, makeup, and Tampa Bay Lighting Hockey. She loves spending time with her family, stalking her favorite Instagram pups, or binge watching Netflix with her high school sweetheart, Rick. If you cannot find her, check your local Target store.

Lizzie Kawell

Junior Designer

Lizzie was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in North Florida for the duration of her adolescent life. After high school, Lizzie decided to stay in Tallahassee and continue her educational career at Florida State University where she received her degree in Interior Design.

Upon graduation, she was thrilled to accept a position with Studio M and venture to Tampa. Through experiences she learned in school, such as 3D rendering and graphic design, Lizzie has been able to help clients visualize a space and pull all the elements together in a modern and unique way. She believes in designing with purpose and focus by using layers of color, light, and texture to create a beautiful and functional space.

She will gladly start up a conversation about her dog Cruise or her love for food. In her spare time, you can find her by the water or watching football games with friends.

Cat Sewell

Junior Designer

Cat graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University’s competitive interior design program, ranked 9th in the nation. Being raised in the creative city of Nashville, Tennessee, her passion for the arts started at a young age. This artistic disposition allows her to re-imagine spaces with a fresh perspective that is individualized to each client.

She built a photography business in high school that gave her an understanding of aesthetics through the perspective of the lens. Cat’s artistic vision is balanced with technical skills which allow her to execute projects that push the bounds of creativity while maintaining timeless beauty.

Aside from design, Cat’s passions include junk food, spontaneous weekends with friends, and cuddling her cat.
