How awesome would it be to have the wine cellar of your dreams? There are a lot of great designs out there but some of my favorite designs have gone beyond the traditional built-in cellar style and have incorporated a relaxing lounge atmosphere to entertain friends and unwind. I think with so many bottles, presentation is also very important. Organization and being able to read labels would be a definite must, as well as keeping the room at a cool temperature. The cellars with the glass doors look great because they give the room a more sleek and modern style while showing off your collection to neighbors and visitors (without them trying to get all “touchy-feely” on your prized bottles!)
For those of us common folk who didn’t have space for a wine cellar drawn up with our home plans can always create some stunning wine storage solutions with cool wine racks or “wine rooms”. An awesome idea is using the space under the stairs as a place to store your favorites and having them not too far from the dining room would just be an added bonus! Also, as a lover of glass, I think the glass around the wine rack design looks great in a minimal kitchen or an eye-catching room divider. The colored backlit wine storage looks awesome too, and certainly adds some wow factor to a residential interior.
For most people drinking wine is a social activity with friends as a way to wind down and catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives. Adding a nice seating area to sit and gather is important, and would be perfect for great conversation or card game marathons. Whatever your style is, it’s hard to deny the appeal of your very own wine cellar right at home. I don’t think I’d ever leave the house!
