I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am totally obsessed with Jonathan Adler and his “happy chic” design style. Anyone who brings colorful design with fun and whimsical motifs is definitely OK in my book. And I’m even more excited because you can get some of Adler’s funky pieces in your home at an affordable price this spring at your nearest JC Penney and at JCP online. I know it may seem unbelievable, but JCP has really stepped up their game these days, and has started putting pop-up shops within their department stores showcasing Jonathan Adler’s more affordable line for the big retailer. The one at my nearest JCP isn’t open yet, but guaranteed that I will be there when it opens (I just NEED to see all this stuff in person!)
Although much of it is affordable, of COURSE I’m fixated on that blue velvet living room furniture (especially the sofa) and the whole mid-century modern vibe of this collection. Also, I have more vases and flower pots than I have flowers in my apartment, but I cannot wait to get my hands on those black and white striped ceramic vases or the elephant side table. What do you think? Will “Happy Chic” by Jonathan Adler have you stampeding your nearest JCP? If so, be sure to tell the psycho with the full cart hello (that would be me!)
What are your favorite items from the collection? I’d love to hear!
