With summer quickly approaching (we don’t seem to get much of a spring season in Florida, do we?) hot days full of water, sun and beaches seem to not be too far away. Last summer, my family and I went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for a family wedding and it was so fun and relaxing. There’s something about the ocean breeze and the East Coast that says coastal in a truly unique and inspirational way. Coastal living is all about taking things easy and living simply. For me, this style lightens the mood and allows my mind to take a little vacation (even if only for a few moments). I know that a lot of our Studio M clients love a beachy vibe and ask for coastal designs, as many of them have their second homes near the beach. As a lifelong Florida resident, I can sometimes forget how special it is to live near the beach, and bringing that feeling into the home can do wonders for your house and for your lifestyle.
If I had a second home on the beach, I would totally go with a coastal design. What do you think? Are you as in love with the “coastal chic” vibe as we are here at Studio M?
